It's used because it's cheap and effective, but it comes with an environmental cost and a questionable profile for sensitive skin. Our beads are made with corn starch extract and carboxymethylcellulose, natural, plant-derived carriers that hold fragrance evenly and release it gradually throughout the wash cycle. The result is a deeper, longer-lasting scent that genuinely stays in your fabrics — not just on the surface.

Our booster beads are formulated without PEG. We use corn starch extract and cellulose instead  both plant-derived and skin-compatible. If you have a diagnosed fragrance allergy, we'd always recommend patch testing first.

Our PEG-free formula makes our beads a more considered choice for people managing eczema than the typical supermarket booster bead. That said, fragrance of any kind can be a trigger for some eczema sufferers  our Unscented laundry sheets may be the better option.
