Ingredients + what they do
We believe ingredient transparency should go further than simply calling a formula “natural” or “biodegradable”. Each part of the formula has a job to do.
Coco-Betaine — a coconut-derived cleansing ingredient that helps lift oils and everyday dirt from fabric.
Decyl Glucoside — a non-ionic surfactant derived from sugar and plant oils that supports gentle but effective cleansing.
Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate — a plant-derived surfactant used to support cleansing performance.
Coco-Glucoside — a plant-derived non-ionic surfactant that works alongside the wider cleansing system.
Soapnut extract — contains naturally occurring saponins that complement the cleansing action.
What does biodegradable mean?
Rather than describing the whole sheet simply as “biodegradable”, we prefer to be specific. In detergents, surfactants are the ingredients that lift oils and dirt from fabrics. Surfactants used in detergents are subject to defined biodegradability requirements and must meet recognised standards for breaking down after use.

Why no optical brighteners?
Optical brighteners are fluorescent compounds used to make fabrics appear whiter or brighter under light. They do not actually remove more dirt, so we choose not to use them.

How to use
Place the laundry sheet directly into the washing machine drum with your clothes. The concentrated sheet dissolves during the wash and releases the cleansing ingredients. Adjust the dose for larger or more heavily soiled loads.

No. Our Botanical Laundry Sheets are formulated without optical brighteners.
Are the ingredients biodegradable?
Detergent surfactants are subject to recognised biodegradability standards. Rather than making a blanket claim about every ingredient, we explain the cleansing ingredients and why each one is used.
